Team Liquid wrote history with its enchanted, come-from-the-lower-bracket run to the International 2017 championship.
The team was the first lower bracket side to lift the coveted Aegis of Champions, and was the first team to sweep the final of any Valve-sponsored event with its 3-0 thrashing of NewBee in the grand finals.
Notably, despite having several 9K MMR players in its roster, none of Liquid’s players made it to the top 3 of any statistics, but the team came away with the most precious award of all, the Shield (and nearly $11million!!!).
Enough with the words, and we’ll let the numbers speak for themselves. Here is our special infographic about the International 2017!
